The Draft Environmental Analysis

The Draft Environmental Analysis (Draft EA) prepared for the Draft Community Air Protection Program Blueprint (Draft Blueprint) is now available for public review and comment. The Draft Blueprint, developed by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), includes processes and criteria for identifying and selecting impacted communities; statewide strategies to reduce emissions of criteria air pollutants and toxic air contaminants; and requirements for the development of community air monitoring plans and community emissions reduction programs. CARB prepared the Draft EA under the requirements of its certified regulatory program to comply with the California Environmental Quality Act. The Draft EA assesses the potential for significant adverse and beneficial environmental impacts associated with reasonably foreseeable actions taken in response to implementing the Draft Blueprint. The 45-day public review and comment period starts June 7, 2018 and ends on July 23, 2018. Copies of the Draft EA, the Draft Blueprint, and other related documents are available on CARB’s website at: https://www.arb.ca.gov/our-work/programs/community-air-protection-program-ab617. Paper copies may be obtained from the Public Information Office, California Air Resources Board, 1001 I Street, Visitors and Environmental Services Center, First Floor, Sacramento, California, 95814.
