On February 17, 2016, the Board of Trustees (“Board”) of Coast Community College District (“District”), at a regularly noticed public meeting, delegated to District staff the authority to review proposals and to submit a recommendation to the Board for an entity to partner with the District for the development and construction of Student Housing and related facilities at Orange Coast College (“Project”), jointly occupied by the District, whose proposal best meets the needs of the District. Subsequently, the Board authorized District staff to enter into exclusive negotiations with Servitas Management Group, LLC (“Servitas”) to develop the Project, the Board approved an Agreement with Servitas for pre-development services on the Project, and the Board adopted a Resolution setting forth its intent to enter into a Ground Lease for the construction and operation of the Project with NCCD-Orange Coast Properties, LLC (“Lessee”). On July 18, 2018, the Board is to adopt a Resolution updating and amending these prior actions, and establishing August 1, 2018 as the date on which the Board will consider approval of the Ground Lease and the Coordination Agreement with the Lessee.
