Legal Notices: Take notice that the United States has filed a proposed Final Judgment in a civil antitrust case in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, United States of America v. Alaska Air Group, Inc. and Virgin America Inc., Civil Action No. 1:16-cv-02377. On December 6, 2016, the United States filed a Complaint alleging that Alaska Air Group's proposed acquisition of Virgin America would violate Section 7 of the Clayton Act, 15 U.S.C. 18. The proposed Final Judgment, filed at the same time as the Complaint, requires Alaska Air Group to reduce the scope of its codeshare agreement with American Airlines and obtain Antitrust Division approval before selling certain assets. A Competitive Impact Statement filed by the United States describes the Complaint, the proposed Final Judgment, the industry, and the remedies available to private litigants who may have been injured by the alleged violation. Copies of the Complaint, proposed Final Judgment, and Competitive Impact Statement are available for inspection on the Antitrust Division's website at http://www.justice.gov/atr and at the Office of the Clerk of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
